Simple, but a little loot...

Dyna mat is 1 way to go, but most expensive. Rubberized undercoating is the other way, a little less $$$ and you can add more and more until it sounds how u want. Make sure all parts are secure, bolts, nuts spare tire, liscense plate, etc.
I used dyna mat on the trunk door and sprayed the rubber on the backside of the panels, as well as the sheet metal. It deadens the sound and makes the system hit O SO SWEET.

Do you want better sound or no rattle. I know a cheap way to increase the volume and clarity of your bass, but if you just want no rattle, get dyno.

I dumped

a can of Rockford Spray-Foam on the inside of the trunk lid, that helped a lot. There's a lot of areas in it that are difficult to attach dynamat, or other sound deadener to. I also sprayed between the inside tail lights, and the trunk lid. That killed the majority of the rattles.

At the time, I also had my subs firing upward because I was running 15"s. This ment the sound was bouncing off the lid, and rattling the underside of the car, so I covered the entire portion of the bottom trunk with some tar-based sound deadener (b-quiet) .. It worked pretty good, surprisingly for something that cheap. The only problems I've had with it, is that the adhesive sucks in heat. So if you use it on something upside-down (ie, trunk lid), the sun will make it peel off in the summer.

Try the spray-foam idea though, it should help a lot.
