5spd done

it's finally finished, it works ok.... only trouble is occasionally i can't get into 1st or 2nd....

The fluid that the shop put in was half ATF and half 30W gear oil....I'm thinking this may account for synchros not engaging correctly??.... i've got plenty of redline mt90 fluid here, but want to see what u guys think, if it's fluid related, or something else...

P.S. For those of you debating swapping or not, do it.

i have no idea why they put ATF in there...but manual cars should have gear oil...flush that crap out

how does it feel to have all that hidden power released?

i had a tranny shop inspect the tranny beforehand, open it, tell me it was ok, and it didn't shift out of first after that, so i had em work on it again after i had swapped it all in....

so much damn torque now... CRAZY..... i hate going uphill now with the act.... i keep leaving tire marks everywhere on accident... :-/

total cost of conversion was probably near 1800.

1800 was 2 trips to a tranny shop, a performance clutch, sts, new master and slave cylinders and a few other small odds and ends.
