Air Intake Temp sensor

Air Intake Temp sensor
First of all I can't find the stupid thing...after re-installing my stock airbox after a failed attempt at installing my intake, now the service engine soon light is lit...I checked ECU codes and came out with both knock sensor, and of course the intake temp sensor.
The knock sensor I do not belive would have been affected in my installation, and I know this is common. Should this be replaced? How long can I wait?
As far as the stupid intake temp sensor...is it ok to drive the car with this functioning improperly? I may take it to the dealer but that is about 15 miles away on the freeway. The engine sounds smooth, but I have only briefly ran it while parked.
I NEED SOME HELP!

Man calm down...
First off the intake temp. sensor is located at the bottom elbow of the ram intake looking thing that mounts right above the radiator by the airbox. Its just a little plastic thing that sticks out of the pipe. Secondly, no you won't hurt it by driving it.
see now don't you feel better.
