Red would look nice, stands out. Also how did you guys prep the area for painting the caliper? Which areas should I stay away from painting, rotors, pistons? I plan on leaving the calipers on and painting them. Thanks for the help in advance.

I just repainted mine last night, after 2 years the red was fading. I wrap a plastic bag around the rotor and pull it tight around the edges of the caliper, The I lightly spray the caliper from a few inches away with very thin coats. This avoids overspray and dripping.
Use some brake cleaner and a wire brush to get rid of all the dirt first.

is it hard to remove all the caliper parts you want to paint and take them off the car? or do you have to leave it on (if you removed the brake fluid hose i take it brake fluid would leak out)?

I'm now using duplicolor graphite grey wheel paint, yep meant for wheels but so far has worked well with the calipers. I lightly sanded a bit and then sprayed about 3 coats of it. Looks very clean and gleams and night cause the paint contains light metallic flakes.
The color overall is well hot, its not super flashy or plain black/silver has a little glimmer. You could also probably add clear coat on top of it and it will give it even more shine..I may take a crack at that I think that color would be perfect for a white car nice contrast.Yellow is too loud, red is not as loud but getting there since its a white car.Silver is clean and good but doesn't standout, black gets super dirty after rain, dust, dirt. Good thing about grey is that brake dust is greyish color so it blends in and appears clean.
I can get some pics over the weekend of some calipers as I will be tackling my friend's max EGR code.

I tried white on my '97 Arctic Pearl White. Didn't look right because the white didn't match the car close enough, and it was too flashy (luckily only did one caliper). Then I went with red for a year til it got old. Now they are "Real Blue" (name of color), and I get comments on them all the time (from older people especially). They are not flashy, just enough to catch your eye; very subtle detail. These are behind the stock SE 16's. All in all it is a conservative, but detail oriented look. I may try to attach a pic later.

Hey- I plan on painting my calipers in time. How long does the paint last for you guys? Does it get dirty quickly? After about how many miles? I'm looking into either black or red for my black max. Benefits of either? Thanks.
