Those would be the overseas diamond clear RED/CLEAR tails...not Civic taillights There was a huge discussion on this months ago about these fitting on our cars, and sadly...no the would not. They are sweet though, excelent match for DC clear corners I would buy them in a heartbeat if they'd fit

the outside of the car looks sweet, but they put too much crap on the dash (the gauges and the nismo thing) and it's a 2.0 L.

Not a Nissan Maxima. That car is made by Samsung. They bought the design from Nissan.

There was a thread on here sometime back. A korean org member. SM520 I think his name was, was discussing the idea of egtting the tailights to fit american Maximas. It ain't gonna happen That thread also showed the optional dash kits of the Samsung Maxima. Theirs had much more wood and was motre complete. They were pretty.

Also, if you think those are cool, There a compnay in Japan, they used to make body kit for I30s. I've always thought the US Maxima looked better than the US I30, but those signature body kits turned everything around completely. I hit their site recently and they don't seem to show the 4th gen stuff anymore

I'm trying to work with Korean Suppliers right now to find what I can about differences/similarities between the 2 cars and what would/wouldn't work.

Unfortunately, Korean businessmen don't seem very interested in doing business with me.

But I've been working on it- maybe someday things will break through.

I don't think those headlights are stock.

Although I'll try and find out if they are aftermarket in Korea at least, and see what I can do.

It's gonna take awhile. Building up a contact over there that is willing to take the time to do the research is not easy.

If anyone on this board currently is living in Korea/SE Asia, then let me know.

Anyway - like I said - I'm working on it. It's too early to say whether or not anything will come of it. I have one contact in Seattle right now - but he's not a car guy by trade - just knows people in Korea.

car doesn't look bad at all. I think maybe the civic thing will resolve itself if you clicked on the picture so that it enlarges and spreads out normally. The interior is ok...I would like it more if it didnt have the silver trim and a diff. steering wheel, but otherwise, its nice (esp. that screen!). I believe the engines in the asian market are usually a bit smaller, mostly becuase there is less space to be speeding around so much. I recall seeing BMW 7 series in 735 models, and 5 series in 518's and such...and the smaller version engines in Japanese models compared to here. BTW, those headlights look like the cefiro ones that were opened and "AE'ed."

although the samsung maxima is assembled in korea, it is very close to the nissan maxima. You guys know about Nissan's "advanced" auto plant right? Supposedly, not too long ago, it was like the only plant of its kind, where assebmly lines can crank out a maxima one week and a sentra the next week, due to highly innovative assebmly line/equipment/ plant design and etc etc. Samsung has a plant just like that in korea too and thats where this samsung maximas roll off. and I THINK it has a VQ20 too. Anyways, I'd take a japanse built maxima over the korean version anyday.
