Does mods make you slower?

After the major mods I did on my car, the car still runs like stock, if not slower. Did a dyno about a month ago, best run I got was 167.3 hp 176.2 tq. Recently just installed a straight pipe (thinking my cat might be clogged) and didn't make much difference. Full tune has been done about 25k miles ago. Don't know what could be wrong?
Never got any codes for knock sensor, checked it manually, was all clear.

Don't know what the problem is, now I wish I kept everything stock since it didn't make a difference after modding it.

I'm open to any thoughts and suggestions.

Thanks...

Straight Pipe will not do much for performance, unless you are boosted. A N/A Maxima will get maybe 1-2 hp out of a straight pipe.

Straight pipe isn't a real performance mod unless your boosted.
Your cold air and Y pipe were the only two things that should have given you more power.

I know straight pipe is useless unless I'm boosted but since I didn't gain any power from ypipe and full exhaust, I thought my cat would have been clogged causing the loss of power. Thats the reason I installed a straight pipe. Should I replace my Knock Sensor even though I don't get any codes?

Wish that was the case. Dyno proves it and I can't keep up with a friend's 2003 V6 Accord

change your y-pipe and intake. Maybe even lighten your pulley. You will feel a difference then

The only mods that hurt your car are non performance mods cause all they do is slow you down when it comes to performance.

Well the intake will slow you down because it is for higher end power and just driving around town you lost the torque from the stock setup. Once you get more mods that will be less noticable.

I am surprised you dont feel anything. I have an intake with a K&N filter and a custom ypipe and b-pipe with a stillen muffler. I felt the main differences when I changed the intake, then the y-pipe and also when i changed my udp

All my mods made me slower. Look at my sig.

Anyhow check your y-pipe flex section. A problem with that will cancel out any mods you've got and then some. Or maybe you've just got a weak motor.
