5sp conversion guys- axle question

for the passanger side axle, the part in the middle that connects to the bracket with the 3 bolts, did you replace that bracket? or is it the same? because my axle is leaking and it seems that the axle is going in at an angle making the seal leak, the dealer looked and says that theres a different part# for the auto and manual bracket so is that my problem?

I didn't replace anything. The 5spd axles bolted right up for me as far as I remember. (it was a long time ago) Do you have the donor car? Email Cbr2@softhome.net for the answer to your question or catch him on AIM at RodoSKI.

Is everything bolted up tightly? when you put in the cv axel seal on the transmission casing..is it in a angle?

the axle from a auto and 5spd should just bolt on up the same.

Try getting another axle first. Go to Advanced Auto or PepBoys. They have the axles for $70.00 after the core charge and they work fine. I am going to be getting one in the next day or two since my passenger's side has also leaked in the past.

This is my 2nd axle I used. yes its all bolted down tight but the whole shaft that goes in the tranny seems like its not straight and pushes on the seal to the side. We tried 2 seals that the dealer installed
