Ok, I searched the forums for this but I couldn't find it, that's why I'm starting this Thread.

K, here goes. I purchased a Cattman S/S y-pipe last Friday (Feb. 2), and It is supposed to be here tomorrow (Feb. 8). That aside, I am planning on installing it myself, with the help of my friend who has quite a bit of experience working on cars, plus all the tools. Anyhow, I would like to know If I'm going to need anthing special for the install. I'm kinda worried that the bolts could be rusted in there...and that would suck, but the car got a new clutch last April, and people have been telling me that they need to take the y-pipe off to get to the clutch, does anyone know if this is true. In that case, it would be highly inlikely that the bolts would already be rusted hard in less than a year.

Anyone that has good directions on the install would also be really helpful.

Thanks guys,
BriGuyMax

Rust may be possible, but the limited workspace & akward tool angle makes the install difficult towards the front end of the car.

LOVE IT

The y-pipe is amazing, no hissing at all, just a real nice low exhaust note...not really louder either. My intake really drowns the exhaust out completely on anthing over half throttle. There was a tiny fitament problem (which NO aftermarket exhaust part is ever immune from, I don't care what anyone says), one of the front manifold bolt holes just wouldn't line up with the stud, was about 2mm off....but my brother and I yanked and banged on it til it went on....and it fits beautifully. I'm really amazed by how NOTICABLE the power increase was....especially accelerating from 60-100. It just pulls.
