i was curious if anybody knows where a tach is hooked up to typically. i just got my car and its got an aftermarket tach and i wanted to take it off.

To the distributor/power (12v) /ground

But it also depends on what type of ignition you have.

 

there is no distributor. im pretty sure the ignition is stock also

no its a Faze. ive never heard of them before, its nice though. its a 5" w/shift lite. its indiglo too, which is actually pretty cool.

my problem is it looks like its professionally installed. wires are all hidden, and i cant seem to trace them. i dont want to just rip it out, because i dont know if i can just leave the wires there, even if they are wrapped up.
