Breaking in a new Clutch
How many miles and what other steps am I supposed to take?
Also, the clutch doesn't grab as well, the car revs a little before the clutch grabs. Is that normal? Will that get better?

what type of clutch was installed?
My OE clutch never sliped form the day it was installed, but I have heard others say a new clutch will slip at first.
I took it really easy on the engagements, never down shifted aggressively, and keeped the car below 4k rpm's for about 400 miles. Then for the next 400 miles I just drove normal making sure not to pop the clutch or down shift more than one gear. I would take the car up to 5K rpms or so.
Not after 1k miles did I do anything aggressive with the tranny. At 1300 miles I took the car to the track and had at it.

maybe thats why the clutch doesnt instantly grab, because its some nameless brand...no good. You should of AT LEAST went with OEM, never anything less...
Personally, i went with Exedy Stage 1 Organic (at about 285 bucks), cheap in my eyes, plus i need the extra clamping force...
Dont plan on throwing any extra power on that clutch either, it may not last (i.e. n2o, S/C, Turbo)....
Just keep your eye on it, if it still doesnt grab right after say, 400-500 miles, you may have a problem. Does Pep Boys warranty their work?
