Dropped something inside the engine

Well, as you can tell i'm quite the "newbie" when it comes to cars, so please bare with me. I was just looking under the hood of my car (which I shouldn't have), when all of a sudden out of my top pocket of my shirt a clip (from a headlight cover) fell out into the engine area. It happened so fast, so I couldn't tell where it landed, but I looked on the ground and it wasn't there. Am I at risk leaving this clip inside the engine, will the clip just fall out when I start accelerating? Thanks for your patience with my lack of car repair experience.

You should be fine unless you were adding engine oil and had the Oil cap off

Yeah - it can't get anywhere bad as long as nothing under the hood was disassembled at the time of the incident.

You'll be fine. It will fall out soon enough.
