96 to 97 front bumper conversion help

hey does anyone know if the 1997 front bumper will be compatible with 1996 headlight. i know the grill must be replaced and the fog ligths are obviously different. and also the rear bumper? does that require any modification or must i purchase a 97 trunk lid as well. thanks

they are the same as far as I know. If you get the bumper and grill it should be fine. The rear bumper is pointless to me and I don't see the need to change it. It's a difference of about an inch and a trunk from a 97 would still fit with a 96 bumper if you want the tails and stuff...

What would you have to do to convert a 96 rear to a 97 rear? If you did that conversion would 97 taillights fit?

To get 97 tails in you only need to change the trunk lid...

My question is, what are the differences between the 95-96 and 97-99 rear bumper..JUST the rear bumper, not the lid or tails or anything else like that...

I think the rear bumper on 97-99 is 2 inches longer. If you put it on a 95-96, your exhaust might be hidden a little.

Yeah it's longer so that they could stuff more bumper filler or whatever for safety reasons...
