Can't install Cortesy RSTB...need help
Ok don't flame me but I can't seem to install it. It just doesn't seem to fit. I get one of the plates on but the other one won't drop into place. The bar just seems to big for it. I installed a matrix FSTB with no problem at night. I'm not an expert maechanic but I do normal mechanics (oil change, brakes&rotors, Tranny) all the time. Can anyone help me out or is there a write up somewhere? I know about having to cut a whole in each side of the covers so that's not the prob.

Turn the bar around, you have it on backward
Same thing happened to me. The mounts are the right ones, but the bar seems an inch or so too long, right? Compare the rear bar with your front bar. If they are the same size, it is the wrong one. Courtesy sent my RSTB with the proper rear mounts mated to a front bar. Wouldn't fit no matter what I did. Called Courtesy, explained to them the problem, and they said it has happened before. They shipped me a new bar immediately, and I sent the wrong one back in the same box. They picked up the tab for shipping both ways.
BTW, don't expect a huge improvement in handling. The improvement is there, just subtle. But the bar makes a good "holder" for things like automotive fluid bottles so they don't fly around your trunk.
Just a little tip. To make installation easier/more professional looking, take out your backseat and the sheetmetal behind it (10mm bolts). Install the rear bar through there. Much easier to work with instead of bending all over in your trunk. And you can get the holes in the trunk liner perfectly lined up.

Thanks for the offer though. Thanks for the heads up Dave. I'll call courtesy. Shouldn't take too long to get another bar since this one was on back order for like 4 months.
