Suspension Problem?

I hear a weird knocking/clicking sporatic sound when i go over a bump / speed bump/ pot hole, etc.. I took off my FTSB and drove without it and I still got the noise. I put it back on, same noise. I leaned on the right side of the car (where the washer fluid is) and heard the noise. Hmm.. I pushed down on the body a couple times and heard it. I tried the other sides including the rear and heard nothing. only from the front right side. what's the most likely problem? and how much am I looking to spend. This is going to be an expensive season.

Tires + Install + Balancing = $210.00
Brake Install and Rotor Resurfacing = $ 220.00
Y-Pipe and Install = $ 260.00 (this can wait)
Serpentine Belt Replacement = $? (anyone know how much for this?)

and of course my new suspension issue. My current suspension is stock except for FTSB.

it could be a bad strut or the front sway bar links.
4th Gen. Maximas are famous for breaking the upper strut insulator.

I have the same problem but i installed my KYBs and H&R when it started. I think that your gasket between the shock and the body is broken or torn. You might have to replace that. It shouldn't be that much.

I just replaced my suspension including ES front sway bar and end link bushings. I think I probably didn't get the sway bar bushing on the right side installed correctly with the metal bracket. After a day, it had split apart causing the bracket to rub against the sway bar. This is causing a very annoying squeaking sound. There is also another noise I'm hearing that was present even before the suspension install. I thought it might have been the strut bearings before the install, but I replaced them and the sound is still present. When I placed an order for new sway bar bushings, I ordered new endlinks since one of them in particular seemed very loose. Other people have been having problems with them too. Hopefully with these new parts my front end will be silent.

Check the sway bar end link, not the bushings, but the ball type joint where it's attached to the lower control arm. You may have to disconnect the link from the sway bar so you can really get a good feel for the play in the lower joint.
