Airbag light flashing- battery died later
3 days ago, I went for a drive in the middle of the day and noticed that my airbag light was flashing, it was flashing steadily, no codes. That night, my battery died. I replaced the battery, but my airbag light is still flashing.
I did some searching on here, and tried to reset the airbag system using the door-light button method. First, I got a code, two long flashes, followed by a short flash. Then I tried doing the method twice in a row (read that it puts it into user mode?) and now it is back to flashing steadily, no codes.
Does anybody know what is going on with my car? First the light went on, and then the battery died. I'm guessing that the light went on in the first place because my battery was about to die, but why is the light still on? What does that code mean, and is there anything I should have done after I replaced the battery (ie. reset the ECU?) Thanks for any help that is given.

usually the current issue isnt the battery, and if it is...easy fix. can be an alternator issue, bad ground, or a corroded wire. have someone with solid car knowledge looking at it (no offense to you, i couldnt fix this myself either) and if still no ideas, take it into the shop.

it sounds like something is wrong again...but since you got a relatively new alternator i doubt its that. the voltage is draining the battery because the system isnt making enough amperage to keep itself going. since the alternator is new, and since your draining the battery, there has to be a wiring issue or short somewhere on the car...no other explanation (unless you broke another in a month?!)
