I am looking to replace my stock muffler with a new one and need some good advice. I have been told that performance mufflers may add some gain on HP and better sound. HP is good, but I am looking for the "throaty" sound. I don't want the muffler to be too loud and draw attention but would like something that emits a growl. I have looked at the Stillen's (OBX) and Powertech but don't have any idea how they would sound once installed.

Can someone out there give me a suggestion based on their experience with new performance mufflers.

Thanks!

A muffler will add litle or no HP. A mufler will change the exhaust tone as a result of less restriction.

There are many to choose from. You may want to do a search here with the words: muffler sound to get some info from previous posters with the same questions.

P.S. why not just get a full catback?
