i like my car better in the morning...
i like to drive better in the morning when my engine's cold because itll plow right through the rpms to get where i wanna go. once it's warmed up, itll kind of jerk its way through 1800-2600 rpm and then itll start going steady. obviously, its because the air is colder--- am i gonna get the same kind of thing going with a CAI? or do you guys have no clue what im talking about...

It makes your engine run harder and it'll drop your MPG. I just got 15.3 MPG since I drive my car cold in the morning to school and I drive it back home cold. It only takes me like 5 minutes to drive each way so when I get to school, my car is warmed up, but I have to turn it off...
I'm always in a hurry so I guess I need a remote car starter now

dude your crasy to floor your car when its not warmed up, u have to let the oil get the the cylnders, and when you floor it when its cold it burns the oil cause its not warm enouph to be used, So basically when flooring and not warmed up, your provoking a seal to break, or a gasket break or something along those lines

i dont floor it, no im not that much of a moron. its just that the engine will pass through the midrange much easier in 2nd and 3rd gears in my auto than if it is warmed up. i am NOT flooring it-- i dont turn it on and squeal my tires out of my driveway. thats stupid

remote starter is your best friend. I wake up, remote start my car, brush my teeth and all that morning crap, and when im down, i hop into the car and off i go!
trust me, it takes 2-4 mins to warm your car.

i know exactly what you are talking about, and im guilty of it too from time to time. but i really like to not run it past 3k until the car is warm.
on a somewhat related side note, a ways back i was watching some english test drive type car show on speed(channel) and they were saying that the bmw 5 or 7 they were testing had a redline that would move progressively higher as the car warmed up, so you couldnt over rev it when it was still cold.
and as motor trend would have us believe, bmw is god and therefore it must not be good to wind the rpm's when the engine is still cold.

First you're an IDIOT if you go past 2k-2.5k rpm when your car is cold. Let the temp needle get to the middle before stepping on it. The oil in the car is cold and it won't protect, and flow through all the parts as good as when it's warmed up. It's just stupid to do that...
