How do you replace spark plugs????

Hey all. I finally got my 98 maxima SE rosewood a couple weeks ago so i'm working on cleaning it and getting it in excellent condition. Well i've changed the oil and oil filter now and was going to attempt to replace the spark plugs so i bought some Bosch Platinum (which now after reading on here i've gotten the idea that i should get the NGK copper instead) but the hardest thing for me is 1. a couple of the screws leading to the spark plugs are stripped so i gotta borrow a drimmle(spelling?) tool to help wtih those and since i am having that problem i just figured i'd see how much an auto shop would charge to have the spark plugs installed and 2 or 3 different places said between 72 and 78 dollars. I asked one of them why it is so expensive and they said 3 of them are hard to work with so does anyone in here have a step by step instruction on changing the spark plugs so if i do decide to do it my self i won't be so lost since i'm a newbie to maximas and auto stuff like that in general and also if you know what it is they are talking about that is so hard then please let me know!!! Thx for any help you can give me!!!

I changed them on my 3rd Generation with no problem it's very simple. You just need a long socket extension and a swivel head.To be honest i haven't even looked at them on my 4th generation.I'll go look at them now.

I looked at both of the sites you guys recommended but with no luck... I couldn't actually find a write up on how to replace the spark plugs. Thx for the help though. I'm just interested in how to get that one out that is so hard to get out and also which one is it... Thx for you time!

It is on http://www.vqpower.com There is an in depth write up just go to the "how to" link. I'm thinking about doing it myself and puttting some NGK coppers in. Good Luck

do you see in this pic, behind the strut bar there is a metal thing that has a hose coming out towards the strut bar, u can remove that in order to get to the 6th plug, when u remove that part, (which comes off with two bolts), u have clearance and a better angle to get at that 6th plug
