I would say a couple grand.

For whatever reason I don't really keep track. I think it's mainly because I try to trade or sell parts before I go for new things.

I have easily saved anywhere between $1500-3500 by learning how to do things on this site and also the FS/WTB forums.

The only way I see it really getting out of hand is if I go FI. This wouldn't be for another two years I would say, but it would be a big decision to boost the Maxima or to move to a RWD chassis and have the Maxima as a daily.

$600 on subs and mono amp, $110 on speakers, $70 on 4 chan amp, $60 for 2 amp kits, $100 for different audio/wiring installs, $170 on 20% tint, $190 on aluminum dash kit, $50 on lighting= $1350.

I haven't spent enough yet, though. Planning to spend more after summer.

1100 for a new engine. Just got my Max though and only gave 1K for it. 97 and excellent shape except that engine. Looking forward to seeing what other stuff I can get into on it.

I know where your 50 cents is. If you look under the front seats there is holes in the carpet that leads to WHO KNOWS WHERE! But thats where your money went, because I have sent a bit down there myself

I'd say about 6,000 with mine...about 4k in mods and the rest for maintenance and nowadays it's just fixing stuff that breaks. 148k miles and motor is still fine...it's just little **** that pisses ya off cuz it affects how the motor will run.

A lot more than I paid for the car, and things are just beginning again. In the $7-8k range plus $6k for the car 4 years ago.

ok...I'm going ot put it this way...I could have bought the beamer I wanted by now. We are going to do just this year....well since june, over $5000. When I first got it like 2 years ago in a month I dropped $5500 in it. Since then I've repainted the car, new sound system, couple performance mods, maintainence, I've put at least at the minumium of about $17,000!!!! And I still have no major performance mods!!! so we looking at about another 5k-6k and that should be about it

If its just mods, then I'd have to say less than a thousand, but if its on maintenance, I'd say close to 3 grand

i spent over 20 on my 3rd gen, and way less than that on my 4th gen, but that was just luck. i got the car for a steal, had the parts to fix it and did all the work myself(incl paint)

Put it this way if I have saved my money and not bought my maxima, I could have a brand new 350z roadster and pay cash for it.

I've had my car three weeks, and I'm about to break the 1g barrier already, haha. Short-throw shifter, y-pipe with hiflow cat, brand new tire (just one, to match the other 3 that came with it, 250 a pop, haha). 3 weeks, I can't believe myself. Oh, that is Canadian dollars though, so its prolly more like 750 american.

Way to bring a thread up from the dead.

Well I am about at the 5g mark. I justify it by thinking about a silly Honda that has to spend 5g to just break into the 15's. LOL.
