i need a new belt tensioner

i went to get my ac belt replaced today but i couldn't because my belt tensioner is broken and the mechanic said it was a dealership only job. i'm just wondering if there are any online dealers that sell it and how easy the job is. and also if not, how much does the dealership usually charge for this job, including labor and all? i have a 95 by the way.

If it wasn't broke before you brought it in, he may have broke it.

The locking nut on the axis of the pulley needs to be loosened before turning the upper adjustment head.

Assembly is about $70 from dealer... but any simpleton mechanic s/b able to install it.
