just passed 75k miles and now ses light came on!?
OK, this is my first post/thread on these boards and this is my mom's car. I'm active and another car forum thats dedicated to the car that I drive, so I hope you guys will be very helpful.
its a 99 SE V6 and recently my mom just passed 75000 miles. At first I thought it was something that comes on at 75k miles (because my car throws a CEL at 10k miles, and I easily got rid of the light) but of course I don't know much of the Maxima.
questions:
1. Is there an easy way to get rid of the light, and its not a problem?
2. Should I just take it to the dealer and they'll fix it with no problem?
3. If its not the miles that sets off the ses light, then what other problems cause the ses light to come on?
If there is any other information you fell I should know, tell me and I'll be gratefull.
Thanks in advanced for any information you guys can give me to solve the problem.

Welcome
SXN, SES = Service Engine Soon = CEL for us
drumnhckr , if you look at the top of the forum, it has all the useful threads at the top. Look for: "Sticky: ECU fault code diagnosis ("HELP! MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON!!")" and good luck
There is also an FAQ thread up there where the other useful threads are
