My car is gonna be okay........right?

I was wondering, sitting here hoping my car isnt totalled. I was in an accident yesterday, got rear-ended. The bumper is nearly ripped off, and the trunk is bent, but what I'm worried about is the rear quarter panel? The place where the gas cap is. That doesnt look like it ends, it streches the entire length of the car, up on the roof. Its bent too, from the impact. Do you think that can be fixed or should it be replaced? Of course, the girls' insurane is gonna pay for it, but they may say that it doesnt need to be replaced, only fixed. Structural damage maybe?

if your worried let an insurance adjuster look at it. no cost to you, and could get all your problems fixed for free. It doesnt sound like it would be totalled unless your trunk is really mangled, or some of the frame got knocked out of line. it doesnt sound bad though

If there is little or no frame damage, they'll replace the whole rear end and the rear quarter panels. If all of it adds to more than what your car is worth, they'll pay you for the car. They might even pull out the dents, but dunno

the same thing happened to my max, but on the passenger side.
there is most likely some frame damage, since i had to get my frame pulled/straigtened out.

your car most likely is not totalled, but i would expect a pretty hefty repair bill. on my max, they replaced the bumper, the trunk lid, the rear quarter panel, pulled the frame and that cost approx $3500 if i remember correctly. but i just looked at your pix and you definitely have more damage than i did.

by the way, make sure the repair place uses new parts since the trend for insurance places now is to use reconditioned parts.
