Hey -

I'm trying to hardwire in a V1 radar detector - can anyone tell me which wire I should tap into? I removed the dash panel in that area, so I can see a bunch of different bunches of wires taped together, but I have no idea how to find out which one has a switched 12V current!

Just splice into the hot wire going to your ciggarette lighter.

 

OK - sounds good. Do I have to pull the box to find the wire that goes to the fuse, or should I just look for a wire of the same color?

Sorry - but I'm a total n00b when it comes to car electrics!
