i was at the mall this afternoon, got into my car, turned it on, rolled down the windows, then started to head out of the parking lot, when all of a sudden, i hear this bang, crash, (sounded like metal on metal, but yet alittle muffled) sound to my left. i had no idea what it was, so i parked my car and took a look outside. there was nothing wrong from what i could see; but the sound really boggled my mind. so i get back into my car and kept driving back home. when i got home i rolled up my windows and was shocked that my driver side window wasn't rolling up. i assumed that the sound i had heard came from my window.

i still haven't taken off the door panel yet, but from what i can see the window is still in the correct position, and i can hear the motor running when i pull on the window trigger. my friend told me that the window probably unhooked from the gear, or something like that .

and like i said i haven't taken off my door panel yet, so i have no pics, but i'd like to know your opinions, and if this has happened to someone before and if so, did you/ could you fix it yourself.

 

I can't see how anyone can help you if you don't even know what's wrong. Until you take a look yourself there is nothing we can do...

 

it just came unhooked--this happened to my dad's van few weeks ago--for some reason it just unhooked--but it was a pain in the *** to fix it on the van-dont know about maxima--
