man...jumped into my car this morning and AHHHH! the speedometer doesnt work......

and when i turn on the headlights, the speedometer, and the tachometer do not light up, and the radio screen goes blank. What the happened? Seems like everything attached to the dimmer switch goes blank, and the 2 most important gauges do not light up.......

Is it a blown fuse? or did my replacement speedometer go bad? Just had it installed.......

what is the deal!

If you just had a replacement installed and now have a problem, that would tell me that's the source of your problem. Take it right to the place that installed it and tell them to fix it. Unless, of course, you had some friend install it for you. That's another story.

That sucks, I would suggest checking for a short, or possibly a loose wire. Unless of course you don't have a clue what you are looking for. If you search I'm sure you can find a howto on replacing gauges. Until then, drive with the general flow of traffic, and you should be safe.

I really dont want to mess with looking bacause that would give the mechanic a way to say i did something to it should something be missing, or since he knows my family, asking them if i dismantled anything.......
