99 Issues
99 Issues
I bought a 99 SE 2 weeks ago w/28,000 miles on it. The CEL,the SLIP and TCS lights came on on the way home. The original owner (Nissan sales manager) said one of the coils was changed the week before. Well the code I pulled was for the #2 coil. So I switched #2 and #3 coil around. The light came on again. I brought it back and the only thing they changed was an O2 sensor. Sound right to you?

I don't know...... Don't trust the Dealers, they could do what ever they wan't. If you have problem with Coil pack why they change the O2 Sensor?? go to diffrent dealership. you still have warranty. If they give you hard time, Call up Nissan.
Mine di the same thing between 28k & 30K miles. I took it to the dealer and they also replaced the O2 sensor. The machanic said that for whatever reason the codes for the coil means to check the O2 sensor as well because there is no real code for the O2 sensor. Was he FOS? Could be, but if it's a lie he told it.
99's have BAD coil pack Issues, let me emphasize on BAD. around 30k Bad Coil, around 50k bad coil, so on and so on, If your Max is a 99-01 you have the issues too, Nissan is to G@y to make a recall on this! Also a bad coil can cause you to brake an Injector or 2
