Hallowed Stock Cat vs. High Flow Cat
Pros and cons? with will better perform? i have the hallowed out cat right now, and its doing pretty good. but i can't compare to the high flow cat cause i dont have one. wanna see if its worth getting. or is just a plain straight pipe evern better then hallowed cat?
also when i down shift i sometime gets flames out of exhuast. anyone ever heard of this? its not often, just when i down shift somtimes. any input would be great! thanks!!-also my exhuast setup is, warpspeed y-pipe, warpspeed 2.5" resonated b-pipe and a APC 4.5" tip mullfer.

don't hollow your cat, it's there for a reason man. It's bad enough we have a president that sponsors an increase in gas guzzling big rigs with bigger engines and higher fuel consumption that burn more oil and are bad for the environment, but you are taking a car that was otherwise mild on the atmosphere and making it pollute more, and all for a measily 1-2 hp?

Hollowing the cat wont give you no gains, Ive even heard it could kill hp for the fact that it doesnt flow through smoothly. Instead it bounces around in the before exiting. Get a straight pipe/test pipe.

i hollowed out the 2 precats on my y pipe, didnt see much of a difference, when i get a budget, maybe i will see an improvement...as for the CEL, in over a year with a straight pipe, no CEL, if that was true, ALOT of people on the org would have a CEL

BTW I do run a straight pipe, I think it helps but I don't have any proof. Just that it didn't slow me down any.

thanks for input. flaming exhuast, thansk for those who flamed. i've been told multiply times by random people that its happened to me, and if you dont speak fromexpierence then shove -it. as for pollution, my 1 car wont kill a fly.
