I was looking through this Stillen catalogue that I got the other day and noticed that they were selling a ViTek Limited Slip Differential for my year Max. My question is has anybody had any experience with the ViTek LSD. Does anybody know of any other brand of LSD for the Max that is any good. I think I saw one for like $1000, but I can't remember the name of it. What is the best LSD to get. If anyone has any information on the ViTek and its comparison to other LSD's and which LSD is the best to get I would appreciate it. Thanks.

 

If you got the 5 speed trans (probly)..the Qualife is the best differential for our car there is..it fits 95-2001 maxima 5 speed only..cost is about 1400 dollars I believe..and you can only order it through Cattman (brian)..he might give discounts..dont know:/ other than that..I dont know much about the ViTek..so I wont comment, and only other one i know of is the one off of I30t (touring editions) both auto and 5 speed. But I would defintely recommend the Qualife (if its in your budget).

 

My understanding is that the ViTek is not a real LSD, but more of a locked differential. Quaife has been the way to go for 5spd's for a long time. There is also a stock OEM nissan LSD 5spd tranny, but they are hard to find. Mostly in canada. The new option is Shadow's LSD which I know also works for autos (only?). It's a real LSD with a lot of engineering behind it and it's price competetive with the Quaife. Try to PM Shadow.
