has anyone tried this HKS intake?

randomly browsing and found this....

HKS INTAKE

never saw it mentioned on the org

just wondering how it compares to the other intakes for our cars (PR/Frankencar/Injen etc.)

I test drove a maxima when i was buying mine...I dont feel there was much difference in sound or anything really...my .02 cents latez bro

I use that HKS intake kit "mushroom filter". Kinda noticed a power difference at high speeds but a loss in power in the low rpm range. Otherwise the sound is awesome! Open ur windows and drive through a tunnel and WOT!! Nicest sound I think!

It uses a foam filter, I would never use a foam filter. They tend to break down when they get old which could result in getting sucked into the motor. They also dont filter as well.

they break down and pass more small particles. pebbles and stuff are likely to tear them up, and they are not in general good for the engine. also isnt DaveB using his hacked air box?
