Belt Tensioner

I have a 95 maxima with a extanded waranty. My belt tensioner is kind of screwed up but I'm not sure if my waranty will cover it. So I was wondering how much does a belt tensioner cost and how hard is it to replace it.

which tensioner are you talking about, the one which runs the alternator and a/c compressor?

Yeah that's a good question i only owned the car for like a week, so I didn't really look at it. I'm ****en dumb, beat me with a stick. But it's the one that you can see from the top and it's in the middle of all the pulleys.

Probably "that" one... about $55 bucks for the assembly...

Screwed up due to someone not loosening up the locking nut before trying to adjust the tension.

yeah that's not that expensive, but I want to know how hard would it be to replace because I noticed that it's right by the fender wall.

Easiest to reach from underneath... take off the plastic splashguards inboard of passenger wheel.
