wait for it to fully charge up until I can start it? I guess I still don't fully understand the nature of batteries. I just bought a new Optima Yellow top battery because the Red top of mine just can't handle the juice from my sound system. Anyway, I just installed the Yellow top battery in. I tried the factory remote to open/lock the doors and it worked. However, when I tried to start the engine, it didn't start. The Yellow top battery have been sitting in storage for awhile. So, I thought maybe it need some time to be fully charged? I'll try again tonight and see if it work.

What kind of battery makes you wait for it to charge. Even if it was sitting a while, i think the battery's quality is Shi**y. I had a battey sitting in my garage for 2 months in winter and when i finally put it in the car started right then like a dream. I guess the new batteries have to be charged, i have been on the same battery for 3 years.

That depends on what kind of charger you're using.

Depends on the battery. I got a battery for my motorcycle and i had to put in the fluid, then charge it. I got a battery for my car and i just stuck it in.
