Code 01 01 Camshaft position sensor HELP

I have problemsstarting the engine got code for Camshaft Position Sensor.
Any help on it what is camshaft where is it how can i solve this problem?

thats the sensor right infront of the tranny or just above it actually. I changed mine like last yr. It was wrecked held in place by dirt and grime.

Def, I burnt out my starter because it wouldnt start. Make sure you check both sensors though because I wasgettin the code for the sensor on the passenger side but it was the sensor on the drivers side that was no good.

great thank you because its killing me one moment its working another its not. Is it possible that it would work one day ok and anbother giving head aches?

DTC 0101 is caused by the Camshaft Position Sensor (Phase). This sensor is located on the engine front cover facing the camshaft sprocket. It detects the cylinder number signal. The Engine Control Module uses this signal to control spark plug firing order and also to sequence the fuel injectors correctly. If the CPS is bad the ECM will fire the plugs at the wrong time, or not fire them at all. This would account for a no-fire symptom.

It's the easiest sensor to replace ever.
There is one only Cam. Sensor (do not confuse with the Cram.Sensors)

i had the same problem with the camshaft sensor, car wouldnt start and all that crap, replaced it and all my problems are gone.



until i got this stupid cylinder misfire. POS.

Worm, how did you know it was the camshaft sensor going bad?
Got a trouble code? My car doesn't start but no codes.
