dielectric grease

Is it merely a lubricant for spark plug wire connectors or is it conductive too?

It is not conductive, it prevents the plug from fusing to the boot, and repels moisture and prevents corrosion.

Hmm....I always thought that it is conductive. Hence the name "dielectric grease"?

Dielectric means a non conductor of electricity.
