what is the stock wattage on our gauges? NEED HELP ASAP!!
i just took my gauge cluster off, and under took a project. my goal was to fit 194 lights into my 99 maxima. so i dremeled, and soildered, and i was happy. i go to plug them back in, and only the digital OD lights up, and nothing else. i turn on my lights, and none of the lights work, and i hear a faint humming noise. so i am guessing i have the wrong wattage? can anyone help me? i can't drive!!!!
thanks

Oh, Oh. You may have ruined the circuit by installing the 194 bulbs in the cluster. Nissan changed the bulb size and wattages in their clusters from '99 and on (possibly '98 also). The bulb for your particular year is a smaller size and different wattage. Adding a higher wattage bulb in the circuit board will only burn and possibly fry the circiutry. If I were you, I would install the original bulbs back in the cluster and see if everything works as normal. This topic has been discussed so so many times. There is NO possible way of making the digital odometer clusters brighter by replacing higher wattage bulbs, other than the bulbs it is designed for.

oh, i am stupid. right after i made this thread i took a rife to autozone to find out stock wattage. on the ride there, i turned on my headlights, and my bose radio turned off. (the radio worked, but it did not light up.) so i thought for a while, and then it hit me, and then i hit myself! lol, i forgot to plug in the dimmer! ahh, i suck. but thank you for your help guys.
am i really going to burn out my circuits??? now you have me thinking about that...
