Emblem residue
after shaving my emblems i have been having some trouble with the residue left behind.......so far i have been using bug and tar remover w/ a side of elbow grease but damn its taking forever..........any recommendations?

Rub the residue with gasoline. Thejn rub as much off as you can using your fingers. Afterwards, get some scratch remover to remove the "Outline" of the emblems from all the years of road debris and dirt. Then wash it, wax it, stand back and smile.

exactly, wiping it off with water is even worse than washing with soap, then waxing. Just trying to prove a point. Gasoline is not that bad for it if it's on there for a short period of time.

I did mine this past weekend, I took off my gold emblems and swapped with silver, I used goo gone, spray it a couple of times, and let it soak. Then just work it off with your fingernail (*gross but it works). Trust me, hey does anyone know what I should use to put back the M-A-X-I-M-A in silver, I was thinking double sided tape, traced out and stuck to the letters, and place them back in order? Any advice?
