IF YOU HAVE AN AUTOMATIC TRANNY, the drop resistor mod is basically a wire you unplug that sits on the driver side of the engine bay on the front side of the strut tower. its just a wire that goes into a box that is sitting there.

this mod makes your tranny shift at FULL LINE PRESSURE. its like getting punched in the kidneys when the car shifts.

i STRONGLY recomment AGAINST this mod as i feel it damages the tranny, however there are people here who have used this mod for some time with no ill results.

if your going to do this i would suggest getting a tranny cooler, which you should do no matter what anyway, and also rig up a switch so that the drop resistor only activates at wot.

if you have the money you can get the valve body which gives you firm shifts without the damage.

good luck
