4th Gen Engine Question

Hello All,

Does anyone know if the 4th gen engine is an "interference engine" or not? I drive a 95 Max with over 220000 KMs on it and need to know this as this will help me determine if the timing chain needs to be replaced or not.

see following article:

http://www.babcox.com/editorial/us/us100024.htm

I know that this article talks about the timing belt, but I am worried that the if the chain ever breaks, then I'll have to replace the engine as well as the chain.

Thanks

There is no belt..there is a chain

the engine will most likely last longer than the chain and if not youll have to most likely replace the engine if the chain snaps..

some get a chaine noise and have to crack it open and adjust it...your fine as long as your not gettin a noise from it
