Help with ECU please
Hey all,
recently i have been getting really bad fuel millage on my car. I run the 93 octane and checked my air filter, cleaned the injectors with the gumout and stp cleaner but no help. My friend told me to reset my ECU because there might be an error that it had. My millage seemed to had droped off at once, it wasnt great but then it droped off really bad and now im at about 13 mpg. How do i go about checking or reseting the ECU.
Thanks!
-Tom

To reset the engine light is a simple procedure.
1. Turn the selector screw clockwise to its stop.
2. Wait 2 seconds.
3. Return back by turning the screw counterclockwise to its stop.
4. IMMEDIATELY REPEAT steps 1 to 3.
Really?? I just reset my ECU on Monday, and my gas milage stayed the same.
Maybe you need an oil change, and the way you drive has alot to do with it. If you are always driving fast and accellerateing fast that will give very bad mileage.
