Got noise coming from your fan? *pics*

I had the most annoying noise coming from my blower (located behind the glove compartment), and like the rest I said "must be a leaf or something..."
Well, this is what I found yesterday...bastard mouse!

i have a similar noise also whenever i turn on the heater... was it hard to remove that part of the unit?? i couldnt imagine what the inside of my fan looks like!
if you can just give a small write up as to where the screws are to drop that part out.
thanks,
Ant

Is the noise persistant when you change from heat to AC, change the vents, etc? Your problem may be elsewhere if it only makes noise when the heat is on.
It was a pain in the butt to get at some of the screws, so I just took out the glove compartment to give myself more room
Basically the blower has a filter piece on the bottom that has three screws. Once that is off (you have to unplug a wire or two), you can take out the screws for the blower, then just pull out and clean.
Like I said, I needed more room, so I took out the glove compartment. So make sure you are willing to spend some time on it. It's worth it to invest in a service manual if you are willing to give stuff like this a try. They have pictures and everything!

BTW...whatever happened to your Bose research on fixing that CD ERR? I have a second unit that I will experiment on.
