Which is brighter for the corner lights?

I want to make my corner lights brighter. Should i do the rewire with the stock bulbs that are in it right now or should i buy brighter corner light bulbs? Which will be the best to get them as bright as other members on the org?

Right now I have regular bulbs that are rewired, but they still give off a "yellow" colored light. I'll be replacing them with hyperwhite bulbs so I'll have "white" looking light and I'll rewire those too.

Instead of rewiring anything....I just used an 1156 bulb instead of the 1157 and it works fine

www.xtremewhite.comthis sight shows a lot of variety but at a higher price.
just remember to stay within the factory bulb wattage to avoid damage to your harnesses.
polarg, eurolites, raybrig are all bright it is just a matter of preference.

I don't think 1157 bulbs are brighter... they're tinted to a color that your eyes are more sensitive to. So if they're tinted glass, they're actually giving off less lumens.

I have no proof on this.. it's just my theory.

i did this to my 95 and it was fine for a while but one day my tailights went out and i got pulled over at least 3 nights a week for having the tailights off. Had it fixed about 5 times and I gave up on it. Now I went back to 1157 bulbs and there's no problems but i still miss the bright corner lights.

Try using the 1157 bulb, just clip the top nub off. Thats what i did my 1157 amber bulbs and i have no problems.

I also use an 1157 with the clipped nub, i'veh ad no problems, YET, and I run them all the time, even in the day. Had that for about 5-6 months now.

The only problem with that is, the color burns off and you end up with a yellowish color (I have amber, like myke231) Does your color burn off? I bought cheap ones, I think thats why they did that...
