keyed car
My max was keyed this afternoon, third time in the last six months. So far it hasn't been bad, I can get that sort of thing buffed out real cheap, but it's getting really annoying and I'm afraid one of these days it will be deep enough that I'll need to get part repainted. Anyone have recommendations of good alarms or other ideas to keep people (especially idiot kids with nothing better to do) away from my max?
I'm going to need a nice alarm in 2004 anyway because it's off to Pitt for me, and you can't park a car on the street in oakland without something decent protecting it. I might even go with a paging alarm if the price is right. Any recommendations?
Thanks guys.

I heard something about those cheap paging alarms get confused wit the feq from other alarms and the pager wont work. I didnt get the exact info cuz I was looking to get that one out of Crutchfield, but once I heard that I decided against it.

An alarm won't help with the getting keyed part, but like maxima98vspec said, get something with proximity sensors. As soon as someone comes within a few feet of the car, the alarm will go off and hopefully scare them away

Thanks for the replies. I need the alarm anyway, so something to stop the keying is just a plus. I'm not sure I want to go with a proxy when it'll be parked in the city, it'll go off every two minutes. I was look at this shop near here called Safe and Sound, they had some really nice Viper alarms with all kinds of features they could put in custom, I'll probably go with one of those.
