i think its said that every japanese car that is modded, souped, or tricked out, is considered rice. although there are some cars can take the "rice crown" more then others, but every japanese car, from our maximas to the supras and skylines are considered rice here in the US.

 

seems like every one has that exhaust except me. where do you guys get them from, cause i'm still looking for one.
some people think my limo tint is rice but i dont care cause i give people the finger and they cant see me

 

your car was my basis for judgement...well...you and about the other 7 guys there with the same exhaust...in the words of the great Vince Vaughn, "It's so money". That exhaust is total cake...it sounds unbelieveable...While i wasn't in your car to hear what it's like when driving around, what I heard on the outside really wowed me...do you have a Y on your car as well??

 

no, but this one time, i park next to this kid i dont like at school so i threw rice all over his car, 50 pounds of it, no lie, very funny. he drives a mitsu eclipse.

Actually I believe I was the only one at the meet with the type H...
Everyone Else had the Greddy Style obx exhaust (meccanoble, Erty67, etc, etc)

And unfortunately no, I dont have a y-pipe yet... COMING SOON

my rice? GTR emblems on front fenders and some think my LED mirror covers are ricey. i think they add a bit of classy-ness.

 

ouch...GT-R emblems...at least you're not as bad as the Mustangs i see with GT-R emblems...they have NO clue...

i'd need to get some Uncle Ben's (not asian sticky rice) for this '97 V6 mustang auto at my school. The car is purple, first off. Second off, he had 2x 3" straight pipes put on. They're 3 inches straight back from the headers, w/no cats, and a straight through muffler. They're now rusting. He also put a GT badge on the back, and on both quarters. He has chrome Mustang GT wheels on it. He has the Tornado air and fuel saver in it. He has a 20 dollar ebay chip in it. He has a 57 inch, 12 inch tall raw aluminum wing. Worst of all? He has "mustang" lettering on the rear windshield of his car....IN JAPANESE!!! That deserves a drive by ricing...

Sorry for thread-jacking, but i must share, it's worth it. It's pretty on topic, but is off at the same time...

I laugh at him now...then he uses the "you've got a POS jap car"

then I use the "you're a domestic V6 with japanese lettering and straight pipes big enough to flow a 1200HP BB"

he says "yeah, and it makes it faster"

i say "yeah, it's cause of that tornado fuel saver, the ebay chip, the heavy chromies, the crappy, blown out ebay sub and amp in the trunk, and the wing, that's what's making you fast"

he says "damn right, but the wheels are lightweight, i can hit 150DBs with the subs, and the wing helps me when i'm going fast on the highway"

I say " yeah, the only thing that audio system is good for is warping your trunk and communicating with killer hornets, as is your exhaust, which is only good for leaving rust on your valence, waking up old ladies, killing your ears and attracting the police"

he says" yeah, because he knows i'm fast. Look at you, you drive a maxima, me vs. you wouldn't even be a race"

i say "Yes, i have a Maxima. A Max that would walk all over your car, AND has leather, seat heaters, a backseat !8o! that's larger than my dad's A6, an exhaust volume that's liveable, and an engine that actually performs and sounds good"

he says "you and me, high ridge. You'll be getting a good look at my hindside."

I say "i can't wait to look at those altezzas, that lift-inducing park bench, the twin cantaloupe-launching, rusted out, straight fart pipes, your neon liscense plate frame, and best of all! Your mustang decal, written in JAPANESE!!!"

After he gets toasted, scaring old ladies, little kids and mobsters alike as he drives down the street (those 3.8L of pushrod power are recognised and feared by EVERYONE!!! :P :P) he says, "at least my car handles better than yours."

i say "haven't you learned your lesson? Ask anyone, my car in the twisties would put yours to shame"

he says "whatever, at least i get girls in my car"

i say "you can get them in the car, but you can't get with them in the car"

he shuts up after that

This is a summary of many conversations the two of us have. All of the weird/outrageous things are true. People at my school either have rice, or no mods at all. there's one guy with a '98 Mustang Cobra, but he has asian lettering, a single, body painted wiper (!RICE!) and a home depot grille (pretty damn rice, the stock hole w/cobra is hot) He has a full dog-leg gearbox and twin plate clutch, which costs a crapload of money, but he's only got cams, heads and WAY lower comp. pistons (7:5:1)for when he "plans on going twincharged" (YEAH RIGHT, he's had the car before he got his liscense, and all he's done are the above) He's got a 200 shot of wet nitrous...but most of the time, he doesn't use the nitro on his engine, he uses it for his own "personal entertainment" Kids these days...

 

If he's got nitrous why didn't he use it when you "smoked him"?

and if yours, the Type-H isn't the Greddy style one, then which one is? The Type H looks exactly like the Greddy one...

 

BTW...the Silverstars could be considered rice because they produce less light than stock bulbs. I had an excellent link but it's down at the moment, but I got this from a very reliable and knowledgeable source. I was almost going to buy them to replace my PIAA's when one blew, but I got the Xtravisions instead which actually do produce more light and I absolutely notice a difference in visibility at night. When I was putting them in I turned them on when it was opne PIAA and one Sylvania and I didn't even see a significant color dif...wierd.

My car is pretty much rice free because it looks stock. I have one Maxima.org license plate frame (other one coming as soon as I can take the ENTIRE rear bumper apart because the bolts are stripped). My stereo system (just completed, pics coming) could be considered ricey because I still have a lot of dynamatting to do (trunk rattle)...but I used high quality components and the install is good, so I don't even know if that counts. My intake could be ricey (frankencar) but I keep it for the throttle response, not the noise.

 

i just checked out your link endus.. your car is not ricey at all..so give yourself more credit. clean stock look ownes. is the deh-9000 an mp3 HU.. how much was it.. im thinking about replacing my premiere 740mp soon.

 

Just got rid of my altezzas and replaced them with my red clears(i have to say it looks a lot better) but i still have the blue headlights along with the blue corner lights alongs with all the blue dome lights inside the car.
