Exact same thing happened to me. It wasn't below min, but was pretty low. The brake fluid is in the engine...rather than us describing it, just check in your manual to make sure you don't misunderstand and pour it in the wrong hole. But mine's (96) in the rear left side of the engine bay. Get dot 3 fluid and fill it up. Someone told me that with low brake fluid but no leak, it's a sign that the pads are thin. In my car that wasn't the case. Our factory pads have wear indicators anyway, so you can hear when they're low, right?

Uh... if your facing the front of the car with the hood up the brake fluid resovoir would be on the Right side right near the throttle body. thats the power steering on the left.

yes when your brake pads wear low, your fluid will also decrease from the resovoir since it now needs more fluid because the piston in the caliper has to move further out because there is less pad.

wear indicators are ok but you got to understand that the brake fluid light isnt dead on accurate with that wear indicator. Its not like they will both go on at the same exact time. plus when you corner the car, the fluid in the resovoir will swish side to side and may trip the sensor anyways....

You mean I poured brake fluid in my power steering reservoir??? just kidding. haha. I meant the CAR's left. Sorry. That's why I suggested he look at the manual, to avoid that confusion. My bad.
