Can OEM keyless entry be added to a 99 Maxima GXE that came without it? If so, what is needed? Any write-ups? Thanks...

 

Hi..I had a 99 Max 5 speed and tried installing the remotes...I even bought the module that goes in the trunk, but couldn t make it work because the car is not 100 % prewired for the module (even that you ll see wires in the trunk , the car is not wired for that- have no ideea why) . I did some research but it didn t go further. As someone that tried & done that, the answer is no. However,you can get aftermarket alarm ,that would work the power door locks. Good luck .
