so lately we have been having some really cold weather, and my car seems to like it. for the past two days, it has not misfired at all... which is a good thing, and a bad thing. it is good because my car feels so much better... i can actually feel the power my max came with. but it is bad because i made an appointment to get it fixed, but they will not fix it unless the check engine light is on.
so i have been trying to make it come on, but with no pevail. does anyone understand why my car would stop misfiring because of the cold? it is kind of odd... maybe someone can shed some light for me. thanks

hey man,
sorry to be a pain but i didn't read your other thread about your misfiring, or atleast don't remember it offhand, but since you have a 99, you most likely have a problem with the coil packs? i'm sure you've probably checked them but i've just seen a number of people with 99's with that problem.
hope that your car continues running better...i know how it is to be ****ed off about it running like poop.
i haven't seen you around ri yet on the streets but will be on the look out for you. i saw a red 99 recently with connecticut plates at the junkyard i go to and forgot how hot those are in person! goodluck and take it easy
