Are these really necesary?

these "rain gutters", been lookin at pics seems like no one else has them, guessing their removed just like an emblem?

Just peel it off, be carefull as to not chip the paint with the edges of the thing though, stick like a tooth pick or somthing inbetween an edge to make it a little loose, then just use your nails and fingers
