How do you get the crank pulley of an auto? A friend of mine has a 96 auto, and needs assistance on getting the crank to stop spinning so that he can replace the pulley, and torque it properly when he puts it back together.

I did a search and I found something about a "trap door" and an allen wrench, but it was unclear what they did.

hey, i used the allen wrench to lock the torque convertor from spinning. I just slide it in through the trap door on the trans inbetween one of the gears/teeth and the trans housing. If you don't know where the trap door is, there's a pic inside the FAQ under UDP.
