I'm putting an alarm in my 95 SE and the instructions call for one of the wires to be attached to a 12v source that is hot when the ingnition is on or in the accessories position. Also, it has an LED that I'll need to drill a 3/8" hole somewhere in the dash to mount.
Does anyone have any ideas as to the best power source and location for the warning LED? I don't want to drill a hole somewhere where it'll do irreparable damage to the dash. I'll need to be able to get to the LED wiring from behind, so it has to be fairly accessible, as well.
I've had cars before that used the speaker grills for mounting LEDs, but the Max's front speakers are in the doors, not on the dash.
Any suggestions?

You can mount the Alarm LED on the little empty panel next to the dimmer switch. The downside is that you won't be seeing much of the LED from outside, but you won't need to drill on the dashboard.
