HELP! my air bg light is on But my Driver's Door Switch doesn't work
my air bag light has been on for months now and i know that if you press the Driver's Door Switch certain amount of times while having the car "on" will get rid of it..
But my Driver's Door Switch doesn't work. When i open the driver's door, the interior lights don't go on. But when other doors are open, they go on. so i know that the Driver's Door Switch is broken
Where can i buy a new Driver's Door Switch and how do i install it?

As with most small things, your best bet is a junkyard.

I haven't tried removing or installing that component though. Are you sure it's not the wiring? Maybe you should take a look inside the door.
The light not working can also be caused by other things, such as your window switch box. I know that if that is not plugged in, then the light will not come on as well. Just keep in mind it might not be what you think.

Do I leave the engine turned "on" and open the door?
or do I leave the key on the "on" position and then open the door?
how easy is it to replace the switch?
thanx~
i'd like to know how exactly to got about fixing this, because i know for a fact that my switch is busted. The spool on my seatbelt doesen't always pull the belt up right away, so enough times of it damgling in the door, then getting slammed in between the door jamb and the switch finally busted the switch. I was abe to rig it up for a little while, but the the spring popped out, and the whole thing was done.
I have that same problem with the f&^#&%^ seat belt not getting rolled up into the door jam and have slammed the door many times catching the latch between the door and the frame. I may look at getting a stronger spring to roll up the seatbelt. I am just a little leary working on things that can save my life!
