I had a green 93 civic, AKA fu{k around car. I used to beat on that car like nothing before, I was suprised it didn't blow up on me on the first day. Tires were bold from doing burnouts and sliding across parking lots. It was fun, but I think now it's somewhere in the junkyard
I had an '86 560SEC benz (hand-me-down, gorgeous car), silver with 5% tint all around... power everything, heated seats... leather... damn thing had more options than my maxima, 10 years prior.
only a few smart people in my senior class actually recognized and respected the thing for the v-8 monster/pimp machine that it was... I went to school with lots of clueless rice boys.
totalled it, cried about it for two months, and bought my max when the insurance check came in.
graduated with the max, but didn't get into modding until the summer afterwards.

started out with a 1987 Toyota Supra, got hit. Totalled..... then I got a 1993 Toyota truck from my dad. Got hit several times, then a drunk driver hit it in October 2002 and totalled it. In december of '02 I got a '94 Thunderbird LX V8 green w/ tan leather.. fully loaded. In january 2003 I flipped it. Then in April I picked up my max with the money from the DUI driver. Lot's of wrecks in H.S. but only the thunderbird wreck was my fault luckily
Had this car for part of my senior year (until december 7). I LOVED this car...

Then, got the max the 19th, and finished out my senior year. Many compliments on both of my cars, many people loved the probe. Car was pretty recognized at school...

well I hate to do this to you guys but I had a 1966 Mustang coupe fully restored. Lasar red metallic, with black sport interior. Every peice of Chrome and trim on that car was perfect. Me and my dad restored it between my 15th and 16th birthday.

Yeah, they both sucked...but I had what I had...couldn't afford anything else. Then a year and a half after I joined the military, got a 94 accord, then moved up to the max, the wife got an 03 honda cr-v, and when I come back from overseas..gonna get me a nice G35 Coupe...I'm kinda glad I didn't get spoiled as a kid..makes me appreciate what I got now a lot more...know what I'm saying
I'm hoping to win mine this year, cause i'm getting my new max in a couple of months, and i figure by the end of the year when you vote, it'll be nice enough. The problem in the past was, no one takes it seriously, my friend in old boxy brown civic won last year. which was better than this guy who's got this horribly suped up cavaller, which has a huge wing and has a black carbon fiber trunk on a red car, and has 1 back seat, which is a racing seat, put in the middle of the back seat??? so hopefully i can tastefully beat him out.
I had a foxbody 1985 Mercury Capri GS when I graduated waaaay back in 2003...one of the VERY few Capris left in original and good condition. VERY rare, anyone that saw a white Capri automatically knew it was me, no matter where I was spotted. It's still my baby and I take it out for drives once in awhile. Had LOTS of awesome memories in that car...and some naughty ones too
Got the Max a month before I graduated...did the red/clears the night before graduation with some friends.

Great Thread!!!
I worked very hard to get my self a car in 2000 my Junior year, by the end of that year I bought my first car!!! haha 1995 Nissan Sentra! I was so proud of it, because I earned it my self... well my dad added $2k heh... but I totaled it by the winter break of my senior year, and got my self an S14! Damn! I loved that car... I had to sell it this summer, because I needed a four door car got a real estate license needed to drive my clients around... I still miss my 240 although getting used to my Maxima now
89 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale Blue
I had a blue 1989 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale with no options but a tilt steering wheel. But it had a 231 cu in 3.8L EFI Monster. I learned a lot obout engines by working on that car. But really my dream car in H.S. was a '98 M3 but i really wanted a 97 maxima(new body), ever since i fell in love with the 4th gen back in 94.
I made a cold air intake with a K&N (Same one that's in my max now!) for the Deathmobile first. then i just took off the intake manifold and did a diy port and polish job and port matched the TB as well. took me 3 days. That was one torquey car i got really sucked into those seats. 225 ft-lbs of torque @2.2K rpms. I raced this guy in a 96 max in it a couple of times. I used to just rip off at the start from 0-50 i had 1/2 car length on his max but then once i got to 60-65 he'd be right alongside me going for the "see ya later"
It had the easiest steering wheel in the world you could turn it with your pinky without applying effort. I was also the only one of my friends who had a car and didn't need to ask parents for theirs, so everybody loved my car too. And the backseat was essentially a big blue couch. Then this guy ran a stop sign into me doing 40! the car saved my life and took a direct hit into the passenger side door pillar from an '85 audi. I was so heartbroken when i donated it to Salvation Army, all the memories and the work i did..
Then i got some money and I bought my beautiful 99 Maxima the last year of the 4th gen and I love my Max!

I had an 86 caprice, beat the crap out of it, a 93 concorde, beat that car untill it leaked all fluids and blew apart the top end...then went 3 or 4 months drivin the family beater, 93 cherokee, and then finally got my max 3 months b4 i graduated and started driving a little easier. no one really had anything worth while in our school and i'd say senior year my max stock was prolly one of the fastest ones in the parking lot, me and this kid with an es300 would park in a v takin up like 4 spots every mornin pimpin it lol i graduated in 02 but was supose to leave 01, i was on one of them 5 year plans...but i was still most remembered by my concorde for havin the loudest sytem

i had a 94 grand prix, beat that thing to death. literally, i slammed it into a guardrail at 80mph...but before that, the ol' prix was used and abused. from bumpers just barely hanging on to blinker lights missing to crumpled doors to cracked/blown tail-lights and a tranny that was oh so close to death. not to mention the consistant coolant leaks and a blown shock, and the speedo would read 50mph when i was at stop lights, and 0mph when doing about 65 on the highway. oh and ripped cloth seats and a missing door panel, and the mystery emergency brake light that would never go off.....
by the way the car had 32,000miles, gotta love GM!!!!!(speaking of the tranny with the 32K) graduated in 02!

this is my 1990 firebird.. the car was awsome.. the best was the cupholders.. it could hold a mcdonald super size cup with room to spare.. i miss that feature.. i also miss being able to do breakstands, and tail whips.. man that was a fun time.. this is the pic that i love. gaduation day in the back parking lot.. those strips are still there...

blake
and the new ride, cant really do tailwhips or breakstands...but it sure beats 160 miles to the tank and having to fill up on super just because the engine wont run wit out it..

I had the pleasure of driving 1985 Toyota Van. That's right, no model name. Just "van". Even the Chiltons I had called it Toyota 'Van'. Off-white with zero options. Smelled like gasoline inside all the time. Made me kinda dizzy on the freeway during rush hour. Felt like there wasn't any kind of suspension. Then I started college. Still drove that POS for 2 more years. i got 245k out of it with original A/T and engine. People referred to it as "The Party Van" or the "The Beast". I think it was just a euphamism. Sure, everyone getting a ride was partying. Except for me, the designated driver. Then i wised up. I was always driving around dudes. Figured I needed a new car to ****** some #$@'s. So i got the max. Chicks dig it.

Finally, this is my old baby. What a nice stylish car, compared to a toyota (the box) and hondas, no offense to anyone, but as my first car I didnt want anything like that, this car surprised me, when I was told I was getting a 91 maxima, I was assuming a trashy old ghetto car, boy was I wrong. and the rest is history..
I had a 1989 mazda b2200 pickup that had wicked 18's and the only air bags in shool. Ahh I miss that truck. The re infroced metal plating underneath for the massive sparking sessions. I loved that slow *** truck. The frame was notched so I would pull up to school and blam set the frame on the ground. I got mad props on it. And paid for all by me
But most of the rideing was done in my best friends gen 2 turbo 2 rx7 that ran 13.4 in high school. I just road in it tonight agin and it brought back so many memories. It now runs 12.8 and after a wot run, there is a flame burning off the exaust for about 5 seconds. God that cars sick. I miss high school already
Class of 03,

Class of 03,
Damn guys, I don't know I'm from '03 graduating class and my school had like couple 12 second cars and all the the other fast cars were in 13s (mostly thanks to our Autotech class). What was interesting that there weren't that many ricers in my school, most of the civics were pretty decent and 2 of them had decent motors in them
Oh man I didn’t even have a car back in '99 when I graduated high school...
But a month after graduating I got a '89 Ford Taurus with some money I earned working during summer break. Man that thing was a piece of crap; something was broken every other week. But two things that were good about that car. One I would have fun trashing that thing and doing all kinds of crazy abuse to it (only when I first got it). Two with it breaking down alot and with repair bills I couldn’t pay it forced me to learn how to fix cars. This then lead to my love and knowledge of cars that I have now. Necessity is the mother of all invention.
Anyways I drove that thing until Jan 2002 that’s when the tranny shift cable snapped and I had to have it towed home. At that point I just got tired of fixing it and went out and got me a 98 Maxima. From then on Ive never looked back

Class of 2003 aswell.
Had a 1993 Maxima SE Auto, Black with Black Leather, really nice, decent stereo, chrome wheels, tint, really nice and clean. Crashed it my junior year being a teenager. I was able to enter this into the school car show my junior year (2002) won best student car (probably because I revved the **** out of the engine... scared a WRX owner hehehhehe)
Then I bought my 1968 Mustang with a 289ci V8 mated with a C4 transmission. Put on a MSD Blaster 2 coil, 6A Control Box and Billet Distributor (mechanical advance
badass). Edelbrock Performer 600cfm and a 4v intake manifold. Blown muffler that I haven't bothered replacing. Rebuilt the engine, etc. Entered it in the 2003 school car show, again won best student car (but I think that I won because 1. it scared the **** out of everyone and 2. the burnout(s).) Both years my principal personally congradulated me on my cars (he really really liked the old black maxima as he too has had a 3rd and 4th gen and loves them).
This year I am letting my sister take my 1992 Maxima SE 5spd White with black leather to the yearly car show, and I have a feeling it will win (will probably have to enter as best parent car, but then again that is a really tough category because of where we live (lots of money) so maybe I'll just let her call it her's for a day, be a nice big brother). Because of the severity of the crash with my old black maxima, alot of people know about my cars, quite amazing how i've come along dispite all of the legal and financial crap i've put up with the last 2 years). I will probably have to put a stereo in it for that car show though, Maybe I'll build a nice custom setup and make some business cards. Mod and stereo installs (since most people around here do not know how to use a wrench).
